Neuromod Travel Award Information
National and international students and postdoctoral researchers who are presenting posters at the Symposium are invited to apply for a travel award. We encourage presenters to submit their application before February 23, 2024. For those receiving travel awards we will also provide:
Complimentary registration to our program. Do not register until you have received the free registration code from the Neuromodulation Symposium team.
Reimbursement of travel expenses of up to $599. Expenses will be reimbursed after the conclusion of the symposium, as allowable by the University of Minnesota policy (e.g., flight, hotel, transportation, meals).
Please note you must attend in person and present your poster in order to receive the travel award.
Travel Award Application:
To apply for the travel award, please register via the link above and email the required documents, listed below, to neuromod@umn.edu by February 28 (11:59 PM Local Central Time).
One support letter from supervisor/advisor, which also includes confirmation that the applicant is a student or postdoctoral researcher.
Applicant’s CV (up to 2 pages).
Travel Award Selection Criteria:
Confirmation of applicant as a student or postdoctoral researcher
Originality and significance of applicant’s work
Short abstract and title
Demonstration of independence of the applicant for presented work
Diversity statement
Need for financial support to attend the meeting
Quality of letter of support
